Motivation Monday – Let’s get ready for Sunday

I usually start my week by reading the scripture I will use to create the worship for the coming week.

This week: John 13: 1-17 The washing of the feet of the disciples.

Monday is the day I look at key phrases and those words that jump out at me.

How do I stay motivated to do this on what is essentially my day off?

  1. I read the scripture during my morning devotions. Some people use a specific devotional tool, book, or app. These are great to help you stay the course and connect with the Spirit at the beginning of your day.
  2. I search YouTube for songs and/hymns that speak to me
  3. Pinterest has lots of images. Searching using the key words help me to remain focused
  4. I write some key words in my bullet journal so I can see them throughout the day and the week.

Motivation can seem difficult if not full out impossible. Starting the week following these steps helps to keep me focused and on track.

What kinds of tools do you use to get and stay focused? What will you us today?

God’s blessings abound.
