Holy Week: Day 3

Luke 22: 1-6

As there are plots to kill Jesus do we see ways to correct injustices around us?  To me, the plot to kill Jesus was not just, although predicted.

Take a look around your community and within/without Canada.  Do you notice the wrongs to be corrected?

Day 1: What are we weeping over?

Day 2: What makes us angry?

Day 3: What are the injustices we notice in our lives?

May you see God’s rich and many blessings around you.

Holy Week: Day 1

Today’s scripture: Luke 19: 41-44  Jesus weeps over Jerusalem

Question of the day:  What are you weeping over today?

Perhaps you can see what’s going on around you but you are unable to make things stop; unable to create positive change.

Does this make you sad?  Do you weep at feeling inadequate in a situation like this?

Remember, Jesus wept.  Jesus weeps with us.
Blessings,

Barbara

Monday – we’re on the way

No, not physically yet but moving closer to Calvary. Lent continues to be a journey. Whether it’s the stature of Zacchaeus, the death of Lazarus in opposition to the death of the wealthy man, there are many ways we relate.

Jesus has shared stories with meanings; parables. We have heard his call on the fishermen to cast their nets on the other side and to follow him. We have heard of the importance of seeking the lost.

Have we heard the messages? Do we feel like we’re along for the ride?

During Lent have you cast anything aside or changed a habit, or thinking?

I’m not sure about you but I’m looking forward to what Jesus has in store for us this week. I hope you join me/us.
