The stranger among us, the neighbour we do not know, family whom we love, all may need healing of one form or another.
We might all be strangers in this new land. We are all heading somewhere. Where are you going? Will that journey dear pilgrim, bring you healing and home?
Recorded in the sanctuary at St. Andrews United Church, Matawatchan. Thank you Joanne for sharing your leadership and message and thanks Ken for offering your voice and support.
What does the Lord require of you?
The church is the people. I am so grateful and blessed to share in ministry of the Pastoral Charge.
Joe Grant shares with us during our Sabbath time apart. Catherine adds her sweet piano skills to the mix; Joe sings and share in prayer, scripture, and insights.
Summer services always seem a bit different to me. This year is no different. I’m taking some time off but also preparing and share a short time of worship.
I like to sit by a slow moving stream or a calm lake. The kind of stillness that reflects the shore line like a mirror. There’s a sense of peace I gain by just being there – for a moment, for an hour. Time stands still. I do know however that the calm pool can run deep, can be healing, and refreshing.
Do you like to sit by still waters?
From Psalm 23: “he leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul.”
“A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.”
John 15:13-15, KJV
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”
Revelation 3:20, KJV
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”
May the peace that surpasses our understanding keep you surrounded in grace, love, and joy.
